Hello from Franklin College!
I'm Lisa Mahan and I'm the Registrar at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. We are a small private liberal arts school with about 900 undergraduate and 65 graduate students. We offer a Bachelor of Arts degree with popular majors being Business, Exercise Science, Biology, Elementary Education and Psychology. We also have two Master of Science degrees in Athletic Training and Physician Assistant Studies.
We use a pretty traditional 4-1-4 academic calendar with all in-person classes, and a small offering of summer classes online.
We have been live on Student First since mid-June. We are currently still using PowerFaids for financial aid, and we also integrate Student First with Canvas, EMS, THD, Great Plains, and a few other systems.
I'm looking forward to working with other Student First schools and sharing ideas with others as we navigate through this change!

Glad to have you in the Community, Lisa!

Lisa, welcome! Walsh College went live in July, just a few weeks after you, so we're at about the same point.
- Canvas: We run Moodle in production, but we built our own sync off Student First's LMS webhook and are already sending the same data to a Canvas dev instance. If you've found any gaps in the Canvas side, I'd like to compare notes.
- GL: Our GL is Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, not Great Plains, but transaction-type-to-GL mapping took us a lot of work. I'm curious how your Great Plains export has gone.
- Registrar side: We automated status changes (Active / Withdrawn / Nonstart) and graduation applications. I'm happy to share what we did if it would help your office.
Looking forward to trading notes.
